The CEO of Your Mind

A Logosophical Method for Vetting Your Thoughts

How to manage your inner world for greater focus, clarity, and success

Consider the following metaphor: your mind is an organization, and you are its CEO. Just as business disorder leads to failure, inner chaos fueled by negative thoughts, self-doubt, and distraction wastes energy and prevents you from achieving your goals. Logosophy, the science of conscious evolution, offers a practical management system to transform your mind into a focused, productive inner organization.

Meet Your “Employees”: The Thoughts in Your Mind

Logosophy teaches that thoughts are autonomous psychological entities. They are like your mental “employees”. Like real employees, they vary in quality: some are constructive and supportive, while others are unproductive, doubtful, or wandering. As the CEO of your mind, your core responsibility is to identify, evaluate, and manage these mental entities. The nature and quality of these thoughts in your mind determine your life’s path, as Logosophy teaches:

“Life is a mirror that reflects what the individual thinks and does or what his own thoughts or extraneous ones make him do.” (González Pecotche, The Mechanism of Conscious Life, p. 50)

The Vetting Process: A System for Mental Management

In the book Initiation Course into Logosophy, González Pecotche presents a method for achieving inner order and clarity. Based on my understanding and experience applying it, and utilizing our analogy of our minds as organizations, I can summarize it as follows:

  1. Conscious Observation: Begin by observing your thoughts consciously, calmly, and objectively. Ask yourself: “What thoughts are commanding my actions each moment of the day?” This is an internal audit to see which “employees” (thoughts) are truly operating and whether they help or hinder your progress.
  2. Rigorous Selection and Discipline: Follow observation by actively selecting which thoughts to keep. This requires discipline: consciously refusing to engage with unproductive thoughts and deliberately cultivating those aligned with your objectives. In other words, align your mental time and your actions with your goals.
  3. Installing the Authority-Thought as “CEO”: Establish an authority-thought: a central, conscious thought guided by your highest aspiration: self-improvement. To support this, create specific-purpose thoughts that act like an executive team, redirecting your focus back to defined goals when distractions or doubt arise.

The Path to True Mental Freedom

By applying this method of observation, selection, and conscious direction daily, you move from being ruled by your thoughts to consciously directing them. Mental chaos transforms into order, creating a powerful, organized, and creative force aligned with your deepest goals. By following this Logosophical method, you are consciously shaping your future.
